What is the Church?: Contemporary forms of the church.
Over the last few years we have heard a great deal about, cell church, purpose driven church, seeker sensitive church, fresh expressions of church, emerging and a great deal more. How do we make sense of these developments and navigate the themes so that we can see how to develop our own church life in helpful ways?

How can we listen to and connect with our community?
All mission begins with the conviction that God has gone before us as the initiator of mission. How we can we hear and recognise what God is doing in our communities such that we might co-operate with Him. Some call this task “community exegesis”.

July 12th 2008: Hugh Osgood
Mobilising the workforce: Developing disciples.
It is almost impossible to mobilise passive believers, we need to develop active disciples. But how do we attempt to deepen the walk of discipleship both for new Christians and for existing believers? In particular, how do include spiritual formation in such a way that behaviour and beliefs begin to change?

September 20th 2008: Lawrence Singlehurst
What is Mission?: Small groups that live the message.
Nearly all growing churches and Christian movements feature the use of small groups. These are not merely Bible study or fellowship groups though they may do both these things. Small groups used in mission have a distinct character. What would such groups look like and how might we develop them?

November 15th 2008: Paul Griffiths
What is the gospel?: Effective communication of the gospel.
The gospel never changes but our cultural landscape has changed. During this highly stimulating day we will explore the questions of, “How does post-modernity interact with the communication of the gospel;”, “How do people journey to faith?” and “ What are the key components in developing an evangelism strategy for your local church?”

January 17th 2009: Roy Searle
The Shape of Spirituality: engaging with spiritual seekers.
It is increasingly observed that many have a hunger for spirituality but not for organised religion. How do we recognise and connect with the spiritualities around us in ways that offer something of value from the treasure trove of Christian experience.
